Selection points of High Efficiency Particulate Air Filter

Selection points of High Efficiency Particulate Air Filter

High Efficiency Particulate Air Filters are mainly used to capture particulate dust and various suspended solids above 0.5μm. The air purifier is mainly composed of a filter element and a shell. The basic requirements are high filtration efficiency, low flow resistance, and continuous use for a long time to reduce the cost of later consumables.
Among them, the filter element refers to the air filter, and the high-efficiency air filter plays a vital role in the air purification industry.

So what are the key points for attention when selecting High Efficiency Particulate Air Filters? Today we will summarize a few points for everyone.
1. The main control parameters selected by the high-efficiency air filter are filtration efficiency, rated air volume, initial resistance under rated air volume, dust holding capacity, etc.

2. According to the method specified in GB/T6165-1985 "High efficiency air filter performance test method Transmittance and resistance" The filter with the counting transmission rate ≤ 0.001% (ie, the efficiency ≥ 99.999%) is a high-efficiency air filter.

3. Commonly used filter materials for high efficiency air filters are ultra-fine glass fibers.

4. The air filter should meet the fire protection requirements, and the high-efficiency air filter is divided into three levels according to the degree of fire resistance:
Class 1 filter, all materials of the filter are non-combustible, and non-combustible materials should meet GB8624-1997 Class A.
For level 2 filters, the filter material should be a non-combustible material that meets GB8624-1997 Class A, and the partition plate and frame can be used with a flammable material that meets GB8624-1997 Class B2.
Three-level filter, all materials of the filter are available in accordance with GB8624-1997 B3 level.

5. When designing, the final resistance can be twice the initial resistance as the calculated resistance of the filter.

6. The initial resistance of the high-efficiency air filter shall not exceed 10% of the resistance of the product sample.

7. The high efficiency air filter should not be used alone, and the high efficiency air filter should be installed at the end of the purification air conditioning system.

8. The dust holding capacity should be provided by the manufacturer. High-efficiency filters should be leak-tested when they leave the factory. Other requirements are determined according to user needs.

9. In general non-parallel flow clean air conditioning systems, combined filter vents are often used.

Choosing High Efficiency Particulate Air Filters according to the above points will allow you to eliminate most inferior high efficiency air filters.
